Airline services to be resume from UK, and flight tickets to be start soon?
Currently, UK government and World Health Organization have advised to avoid non-essential travel and maintain a safe distance due to coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic.
Airlines are no longer operating. However, Many Airlines like Ryanair, EasyJet, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Emirates Airline etc. operating emergency flights for those stuck in abroad and have come to support with NHS to provide help in essential PPE kit and necessary equipment supply in flights against Coronavirus outbreak.
The Airline Industry said that many jobs have been cut off in UK with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic changes to the financial storm due to covid-19. The aviation industry supports 66 million jobs around the world including airports and airlines both.
The reason airlines may be in trouble is because a lot of aircrafts they use are leased and companies want them to be returned. It’s a big challenge for the airlines. Even though Budget Airline Ryanair has also said that it will cut off 3,000 jobs which are around 15 percent of its workforce. Qatar Airways said that they will be making “substantial” redundancies after struggling with the impact of coronavirus.
To maintain social distancing during coronavirus, Frontier Airline is planning to sell a social distancing upgrade for $39, however other airlines are also taking similar steps but not sure about the extra fee to be charged.
All Major airlines like British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines, Ryanair, EasyJet, and TUI has not yet confirmed when they will be resuming normal schedule of flights and have cancelled all flights and packages until the end of May – June. Airlines are planning to resume flights in July, depending on relieve of lockdown and travel restrictions around the world.
However, Qatar Airways has announced and are planning to resume services to the below destinations by End of June:
